We feature Hobie Cat Tandem Island kayaks that move effortlessly under sail, and are comfortable and efficient under peddle power. Sit back and relax in the cushioned, recumbent seats, hands free to drink, snack, or take photos. These are extremely stable boats, so you won't have to worry about tipping over in cold water!

Kittiwake
3.5 Hour Tour:

After a quick introduction, we'll gear up, cover kayak operations and safety instructions, then get moving on the water. There are glaciers, and a chance of seeing eagles, sea otters, seals, minke whales, porpoise, and black bears. The highlight is the largest waterfall thundering down around thousands of kittiwake. We are able to paddle up within feet of these nesting, cliff dwelling birds, and observe them raising their young. Especially exciting is when an eagle flies overhead and sends them all into the air, and over our heads, at the same time!

Blackstone Bay
Day Tour:

Take a water taxi from Whittier to a beach 3 miles from Beloit Glacier in Blackstone Bay. After instruction, we'll pedal to the glacier, spending plenty of time watching for calving ice, then we'll go around to Blackstone Glacier and eat lunch on the beach in full view of the glacier. Then we'll return to the kayaks and spend time in front of the glacier before visiting a kittiwake rookery and a massive waterfall coming straight out of the glacier! After all this excitement we'llpedal a short way to a beach and get picked up by the water taxi to return us to Whittier.

Alaska Wild Guides LLC trips are all inclusive. We provide dry suits, dry bags, PFDs, tents, sleeping bags (with washable liners), sleeping pads, meals, snacks, beverages, transportation, instruction, and guide services. There are many possible routes in these different areas of Prince William Sound, so we reserve the right to change the itenerary en route due to wind, weather, camping availability, and wildlife viewing.

Booking & Cancellation Policy:

Multi-Day Tours: 50% of tour price is due at time of booking and the other 50% is due at the start of the tour. 95% refund if cancelled within 5 days of booking. 50% is refundable up to 30 days prior to trip departure and 100% is non-refundable within 30 days of trip departure.

Day Tours: Payment is due in full at the time of reservation. 100% refund if cancelled 30 days or more prior to tour date, 50% refund if cancelled 10 or more days prior to the tour date, no refunds within 10 days of the tour date. If Alaska Wild Guides has to cancel a day tour for any reason whatsoever, and rescheduling is not possible, a 100% refund will be provided.
